History in Brief
Its been said that my fair and "honest days work" approach to what I do probably stems from my youth, where I grew up on a farm in rural Queensland.
My expertise as a web designer have been acquired over the past 9 years in industry and through ongoing training.
For 3 years I worked at a Film and TV Post Production Facility in Brisbane's Upper Roma Street. My job involved designed functional websites, creating graphic art, multimedia, managing projects from start to finish and was part of a very efficient, diverse and highly creative collaborative team. Many clients and co-workers associated with that facility continue to work with me today and vise-versa.
To earn a place in such a creative environment I first spent 2 years at a newspaper designing ads, 12 months drawing storyboards on contract, 8 months building architectural models, 18 months as a Corporate Sweet Steward at the Gabba Cricket Grounds in Brisbane (silver service hospitality) and 1 year working in sign writing. Before that I completed full-time training in Multimedia, Illustration, Design and Animation. Each were seperate specialist full-time courses, one was a scholarship and all were completed over a 3 year period.
To keep myself grounded I have also spent time working in the North Queensland mines, taken on other labouring jobs and picked fruit during my youth and late teens. I am currently 31 years of age.
More recently I worked for a reputable Brisbane website development and web marketing agency. In mid 2008 I moving to Bundaberg in regional Queensland to concentrate on my freelance business.
When spare time allows I am also often found tinkering away in my workshop completing other projects like my custom restored arcade cabinet.
